This brand-new Gaming Center features bingo, slots, a community space, restaurant/lounge, off-track betting parlor, and support spaces. Chances Maple Ridge, which celebrated its official grand opening in October, was brought to life by Chris Dikeakos Architects, Inc., in partnership with the Great Canadian Gaming Corporation.
Sustainable & Energy-Efficient Architecture
This world-class Gaming Center—constructed with sustainability and energy utilization in mind—features modern and West Coast themes in both its architectural expression and materials utilized. This structure was crafted utilizing building materials indigenous to British Columbia, with features including roof overhangs, shade devices, and smart building technology to maximize comfort, aesthetic expression, and energy-efficiency.
The Architectural Vision Behind Chances
“Bold, dynamic building forms, expressed in materials such as rendered tilt concrete panels, wood elements, metal panels, and dramatic use of glass, suggest a contemporary entertainment and civic facility,” says Mike Alivojvodic, Principal at Chris Dikeakos Architects, Inc. “This modern Gaming Center, crowned by a green/eco-roof with live vegetation, has a warm appearance, articulated to fit well with the surrounding streetscape and neighbourhood,” added Alivojvodic.
